How we screen
A listing is scam-screened when it passes the checks below. That is not a guarantee that the employer, the pay, or the role is real. We do not review every role by hand.
Phrase screen
Before a role is published, the posting text is checked for patterns we do not want on the board:
- Upfront fees, including training, registration, and equipment fees
- Gift cards, wire transfers, and crypto payments
- Requests for a password, seed phrase, bank identifier, or passport scan
- Ghost-job language, such as an evergreen requisition or a talent pool with no opening
A match is not published. The public page does not store which phrase matched, because failed posts are dropped.
Integrity model
When the model is available, it scores phishing, fraud, scam, fake-job, and ghost-job risk. A high risk score drops the listing. If the model is unavailable, the phrase screen still runs and rules assign the category and seniority. Those roles stay on the board. The “Model-reviewed only” filter hides them.
What else is classified
Category, seniority, and region are our classification, not the employer’s. A role whose remote confidence is below 0.60 is left off the board. A role in the review band can still appear, and the listing says “Needs a look”.
What we do not claim
- We do not check that a company website matches the apply link. We check that the apply link is on a known Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby host.
- Missing pay is unclear, not a fail.
- Screened does not mean safe to share personal documents. Apply on the company’s own board, and stop if anyone asks for money or a password.
On the board now
- 14490 roles listed
- 11526 model-reviewed
- 56 classified by rules because the model was unavailable
- 2908 still in the review band
- 2086 with pay listed
A role can be in the review band and also counted above. Rules-fallback roles already passed the phrase screen.
